DOWNTOWN BROOKLYN — A man was arrested for snatching an NYPD traffic agent’s ticketing machine while he was writing the car owner a parking summons, police said.

The traffic agent was writing a ticket for the 37-year-old man’s car, which was parked near 196 Livingston St., just after 9:30 a.m. on Aug. 25, a police report said.

The driver then grabbed the agent’s electronic ticket device, which costs $1,000, and ran off, police said.

Officers caught up with the man shortly after and arrested him.

He was arraigned the same day on charges of obstruction of governmental administration and harassment, and was released without bail, according to court records.

He’s due back in court Sept. 27.
