NEW YORK CITY — A sleeping Brooklyn woman on her way home from Midtown on the Q train was groped by a fellow commuter Friday evening, police said.

The 29-year-old woman had just boarded the southbound Q train at 34th Street around 9:45 p.m. Friday when she fell asleep, police said.

When she awoke and exited the train at the Ocean Parkway stop in Brighton Beach, another passenger told the victim that a man on the train approached and touched the sleeping woman's breast, according to the police.

The suspect, who remained on the train, was captured in a photo wearing brown sandals, blue shorts and a pink shirt. Police described him as around 35 years old, 5-feet-nine-inches tall, at about 175 pounds, with brown hair.

Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at (800)577-TIPS, or for Spanish (888)57-PISTA. The public can also submit their tips by texting 274637(CRIMES) then entering TIP577.
