CLAREMONT — A pair of Bronx burglars snatched a rabbit from an apartment in the borough late in June, police said.

The two men got into the apartment by Crotona Park East and 174th Street through an unlocked front door June 27 around 6 p.m., according to police.

They stole a rabbit in a cage, a passport and a metal bracelet once they were inside, according to the NYPD.

Officers described the first suspect, who was carrying the rabbit cage, as a man about 5 feet 11 inches tall with long braided hair last seen in a red shirt, black shorts, a black baseball hat, and white and black sneakers.

They described the second suspect as a man last seen in a light blue T-shirt, blue shorts, a blue baseball hat and white sneakers.

Anyone with information about this burglary is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or, for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782). The public can also submit tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website at www.nypdcrimestoppers.com or by texting tips to 274637 (CRIMES), then entering TIP577.
