QUEENS — Police released sketches of a man who lured a 10-year-old girl into a car near her home in Richmond Hill, along with new video footage of the car.
The girl, who lives on 102nd Street, was on her way to summer school a little before 7 a.m. on Wednesday when the suspect approached her and offered her a ride, according to the NYPD. The man told the girl he was a friend of the family and she got into the car.
The girl's grandfather saw her get into the vehicle, but didn't reach her in time, police said.
The girl returned home and, after a doctor evaluation, appeared to not be physically injured. It is unclear where the suspect took her.
The suspect is described as between 19 and 21 years old and driving a gray car.
Anyone with information is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
