Dancers and Bouncers Sold Cocaine at Sin City Strip Club, Prosecutors Say

THE BRONX — Sin City Cabaret is living up to its name.

Dancers and bouncers were arrested for selling $22,000 in cocaine to undercover police at the Mott Haven strip joint since 2014, prosecutors said.

The nine suspects sold to investigators with the NYPD and Special Narcotics Prosecutor's office about 24 times including single hits for $100 and larger hauls for $11,500, prosecutors said.

Investigators launched the operation in December 2014 because the club, at 2520 Park Ave., had become a magnet for violence and crime, officials said. They began arresting the suspects on June 21, they said.

The club staff would sometimes sell bumps of cocaine in capsules, baggies or rolled up in dollar bills, according to the Office of the Special Narcotics Prosecutor.

Pamela Contreras, a supplier who lived with one of the dancers, was arrested on June 21 when she was selling 200 grams worth $11,500 to undercover investigators in a McDonald's parking lot at 3509 Webster Ave., prosecutors said.

Blair Padilla, a dancer, sold cocaine to undercover officers posing as patrons seven times, officials said. She was arrested on July 13, officials said.

Other dancers who were swept up in the investigation include Rosanna Debrooks, Claudia de la Rosa, Jasmine Edmonds and Joeana McCarthy, prosecutors said.

The bouncers included Isaac Flores, Charles Percell and Janae Ellis, officials said.

Conteras, the supplier, has been held on the highest bail of the suspects at $150,000, officials said. Ellis was held on the lowest at $3,500.

Percell, a convicted felon, was already behind bars because he was caught with a gun in The Bronx, sources said.

Sin City management did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Yelp reviewers have generally criticized the club's staff as being aggressive and overly-concerned with parting patrons from their money.

"i ask them to break my $50 for singles and she gives my $40 singels back. off rip it feels a little short so i count it in front of her and say its the incorrect amount. she argues with me and finally gives me the difference," wrote Yelper Bria B.

"Model sat in my lap without request, then demanded $20 after the song ended (That was the most listless lap dance in history)," wrote reviewer renje g.

"Waitresses 'forget' about you if your at a table and not buying bottles (I guess that encourages you to leave)," he added.

Many Yelpers however also praised the club's food.

The club drew controversy in 2014 when an agency it hired projected an ad for Sin City onto the side of an Inwood Starbucks.
