EAST FLATBUSH — The annual Martin Luther King Jr. Concert Series is set to start Monday with a free performance by Big Daddy Kane, Roxanne Shante and Kool Moe Dee, organizers said.

The annual summer concerts in Wingate Park are set to begin next week, running each Monday through Aug. 8, organizers announced.

Brooklyn-born rapper Kane will headline “Old School” night to kick the series off on July 18 at 7:30 p.m. Each show is free and open to the public on a first come, first served basis in the park on Brooklyn Avenue between Rutland Road and Winthrop Street.

A second concert is set for Monday, July 25, featuring R&B singers Tank and Vivian Green.

The third show in the lineup will be “Reggae Night” featuring dancehall artist Konshens and singer Etana, both of Jamaica, on Monday, Aug. 1.

On the final Monday of the series, singer Erica Campbell and the choir from the Christian Cultural Center in Canarsie will perform for “Gospel Night,” organizers said.
