HARLEM — Hip-hop is coming back to the Apollo.

The famous theater is putting on a one-night-only show featuring legendary emcees DMX, featuring N.O.R.E., Harlem native Jim Jones and the group Jadakiss & Friends along with DJ Scram Jones.

The theater has helped shine a spotlight on many of hip-hop’s celebrated greats including Tupac, Notorious B.I.G. and Jay Z, at the beginning of their careers.

The event, organizers said, is billed to get the theater "back to its hip-hop roots."

The event starts at 8 p.m. on August 5.

Tickets go on sale on July 8 at 10 a.m. on Ticketmaster and the Apollo's website

Apollo A-List customers can purchase tickets before the general public beginning June 29 at 10 a.m. through Thursday, July 7 at 11:58 p.m., organizers said.
