WILLIAMSBURG — Try your luck at scoring a spot in one of the nine affordable apartments now opening up in a new building, located a stone's throw from the neighborhood's bustling nightlife, the G and L trains and the sprawling McCarren Park.
The subsidized apartments at 11 Jackson Street range in monthly rent from $882 for studios, $945 for one bedrooms $1,134 for two-bedroom apartments, according to the city's housing lottery Housing Connect.
Market rate three-bedroom apartments in the building, which also has a laundry room and gym, are running at $4,600 a month according to a posting on Trulia.
Studios and one bedrooms are available for single people earning between $30,240 and $38,100 a year.
Couples earning between $32,400 and $43,500 a year are eligible for studios, one and two bedrooms.
Two to four person households earning between $38,880 and $54,360 can apply for the two bedroom apartments in the building.
