HELL’S KITCHEN — A man shouted, “Are you afraid someone is going to come in and kill the f--s?” and hurled a shot glass at a Mexican restaurant’s bar after he was told the eatery wasn’t hiring, police and a manager said.

A 34-year-old employee working at El Centro, at 824 Ninth Ave., at the corner of West 54th Street and Ninth Avenue, told police a man he didn’t know shouted the homophobic slur before throwing a shot glass toward the bar around 9:30 p.m. on June 12.

The man fled westbound on West 54th Street after the incident, the NYPD said.

No one was injured by the shot glass, according to police.

Earlier that day, a gunman opened fire inside a gay nightclub in Orlando, Florida, killing 49 people and injuring dozens of others.

A manager working at El Centro on Monday said he heard the man had been job hunting.

“I guess he was looking for a job, and we told him we weren’t hiring,” Billy, 36, who declined to give his last name, said.

He said the eatery has never dealt with an incident of that nature in the past.

“We’re a very gay friendly restaurant [and] neighborhood,” Billy said.
