Man Forced Into Van at Gunpoint Walks Into Precinct Hours Later, Police Say

THE BRONX — A man walked into the 45th Precinct stationhouse 15 hours after he was forced into a car at gunpoint and police are now trying to figure out what exactly happened to him, NYPD officials said.

The 33-year-old man, whose name wasn't immediately released, was at 1326 Gillespie Ave., near La Salle Avenue, when four men with a gun beat and pushed him into a silver Chrysler Town and Country about 1:19 p.m., an NYPD spokeswoman said.

The minivan drove north on Gillespie and turned east onto Dudley Avenue, police said.

Finally, about 5 a.m. the man walked into the police station at 2877 Barkley Ave. and identified himself as the kidnapping victim, police said.

Police, who said he was in good health and condition, were still questioning him Wednesday morning to figure out what happened, officials said.
