VIDEO: Man Stabbed in Fight Over Game Machine at Internet Cafe, Police Say

MANHATTAN — A man in an Internet cafe got into a fight with another customer, shoved him face first into a wall and stabbed him in the lower torso, police said.

The suspect, according to a video released on Friday, got into a fight with an 18-year-old man about a broken gaming machine inside 39 Eldridge St., near Canal Street, about 11:10 p.m. on May 5, NYPD officials said.

The suspect shoved and stabbed the 18-year-old, police said.

The victim's 20-year-old friend intervened, so the suspect slashed his left arm and fled, police said. He hadn't been arrested as of Monday morning.

The victims were treated at Bellevue Hospital, police said.

The suspect is about 30, has black hair and was last seen wearing a green shirt with a yellow jacket, police said.

Anyone with information should contact Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS (8477).
