STATEN ISLAND — A graffiti artist whose tag is "Mash" was charged with vandalizing 14 spots around Staten Island, police said.

Police arrested Juan Rivera, 38, at his St. George home at about 9:35 a.m. Thursday and charged him with making graffiti and criminal mischief, the NYPD said.

Rivera is accused of painting "Mash" on sidewalks, buildings, a mailbox near his Central Avenue home and the walls of an AutoZone at 270 Bay St., police said.

He has previously been arrested eight times for making graffiti, most recently in March 2016, police said.
