Man Choked Elderly Woman in Bronx Home Invasion, Stole $335, NYPD Says

THE BRONX — A man broke into an elderly woman’s Bronx apartment, choked her and then stole $335, according to the NYPD.

The man forced his way into the 84-year-old woman’s apartment at 209th Street and Hull Avenue Monday at about 10:15 a.m., police said. He then forced her to sit down and put his hands around her neck while demanding money.

Police said the suspect then rummaged through her home and fled with the cash.

The woman suffered bruising on her neck and refused medical attention at her home, according to the NYPD.
