QUEENS — A Corona man died Wednesday after crashing his car off the Whitestone Expressway, falling 25 feet onto the street below, officials said.
Kevin Tamasar, 32, was driving his 2008 Nissan northbound on the expressway at around 11:30 a.m. when he hit a median, police said.
The impact of the crash forced his car over the ramp, and it landed on its roof at 32-11 Harper St., according to the NYPD.
He was taken to Booth Memorial Hospital where he later died from his injuries.
The NYPD is still investigating the crash, a spokesman said.
