Man Shot in Lower Back in South Bronx, Police Say

MORRISANIA — A man was shot in the lower back in the South Bronx, and police are searching for three suspects to question about the attack, according to the NYPD.

The 20-year-old victim was attacked on April 11 around 7:45 p.m. at the corner of College Avenue and East 167th Street, and EMS took him to Lincoln Hospital, where he was treated and released, police said.

The suspects fled on foot after the shooting, police said.

The first man was last seen wearing black pants, black shoes and a black hooded sweatshirt; the second was last seen in dark blue pants, a black jacket and a red hooded sweatshirt; and the third was last seen in a hat, white sweatshirt and pants, according to the NYPD.

It is unclear whether the victim and suspects know each other, police said.
