LOWER EAST SIDE — A person was fatally struck by an F train in the East Broadway station Tuesday morning, officials said.

The person, whose identity was not immediately released, was hit in the station near Rutgers Street about 9:30 a.m., an FDNY spokesman said. It wasn't immediately clear where in the station they were hit.

The person was pronounced dead at the scene.

An NYPD spokesman said he didn't have further information about the incident.

Delays spread throughout the A, C, E, F and G lines, the MTA said.

Northbound F trains were routed over the A line between West Fourth Street-Washington Square and Jay Street-MetroTech, the MTA said.

Some northbound F trains were running over the G line between Bergen Street and Court Square and then along the E line to Jackson Heights-Roosevelt Avenue, the MTA said.
