10 Subway Lines Slated for Service Changes This Weekend

MIDTOWN — Service changes will impact 10 subway lines this weekend as the MTA makes repairs on rails, tunnels and stations.

Skip to your line here: 3 Train; 4 Train; 5 Train; 6 Train; A Train; F Train; L Train; N Train; Q Train; R Train

3 Train: Until 5 a.m. Monday, 3s will skip Rockaway and Van Siclen Avenues in both directions. Free shuttle buses will be available, though.

From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, 3s will be suspended in both directions both ways between 148th Street and 96th Street. 2s will be available from 96th Street to 135th Street, and free shuttle buses will run to 148th Street, stopping at 145th.

From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, 3s will run between 96th Street and New Lots Avenue, replacing service on the 4 line in Brooklyn.

4 Train: Until 5 a.m. Monday, 4s will skip Rockaway and Van Siclen avenues in both directions.

Until later this spring, Bronx-bound 4s will skip 103rd Street. Use buses instead. Transfer between trains and buses will be available.

From 12:01 a.m. Saturday to 5 a.m. Monday, 4s will run local between 125th Street and the Brooklyn Bridge. During this time, 4s will be suspended in both directions between New Lots Avenue/Crown Heights-Utica Avenue and Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall. For service between the boroughs, take the D, N or Q.

5 Train: From 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. and from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m., 5s will be suspended both ways between Bowling Green and Grand Central. Take the 4, 6 or N train instead. For stops between Grand Central and Brooklyn Bridge, take the 4 or 6. For service to Fulton Street, Wall Street and Bowling Green, use nearby R stops.

6 Train: Trains will skip 103rd Street until later this spring. To get there, take the 6 train to either 96th Street or 110th Street and transfer to a bus or walk.

A Train: Until later this spring, Brooklyn-bound As will skip 111th Street. For service there, take the A to 104th Street and transfer to a Lefferts-bound A or take the Q112 bus. For service from there, take the A to Lefferts and transfer to a Brooklyn-bound train.

As will also be skipping 80th Street. For service there, take an A to Grand Avenue and transfer to an Ozone Park-bound train. For service from there, take the A to 88th Street and transfer to a Brooklyn-bound A.

F Train: Until later this spring, Coney Island-bound Fs skill skip Ditmas Avenue. For service to this stop, take a Coney Island-bound F to 18th Avenue and transfer back. For service from this stop, take a Queens-bound F to Church Avenue and transfer back.

From 11:30 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, Queens-bound Fs will be rerouted via the M line from Rockefeller Center to Roosevelt Avenue. To get to 57th Street, take a Queens-bound F to 5th Avenue-53rd Street or transfer at Herald Square to an uptown Q.

To get to Roosevelt Avenue and 21st Street-Queensbridge, take a Jamaica-bound train to Roosevelt Avenue and transfer to a Brooklyn-bound F.

L Train: From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, Ls will be suspended in both directions between Union Square and 8th Avenue. M14 buses will be available.

N Train: Until next spring, Queens-bound Ns will skip 86th Street, Kings Highway, 20th Avenue, 18th Avenue, New Utrecht Avenue and Fort Hamilton Parkway. Ns will stop at Bay Parkway and 8th Avenue. Take Ns to their next scheduled stop to get to those locations.

From 11:30 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, Ns will be rerouted over the R line between 59th Street and Canal Street.

From 11:30 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, Ns will be suspended in both directions between Times Square and Queensboro Plaza. The 7 and Q will be available instead. Use the 7 for service into Manhattan.

Q Train: From 11:30 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, Qs will run local between 57th Street-7th Avenue and Canal Street.

R Train: From 6:30 a.m. to midnight Saturday and Sunday, Rs will be rerouted via the D line between DeKalb Avenue and Broadway-Lafayette. They will be rerouted via the M line between Broadway-Lafayette and Queens Plaza. Ns will make all R stops between DeKalb Avenue and Times Square. Qs will make all R stops between Canal Street and 57th Street-7th Avenue.
