HELL’S KITCHEN — Nearly $1,700 of property was stolen from a Hell’s Kitchen apartment by a thief or thieves who may have gotten inside using the fire escape, police said.

The two male tenants living in the apartment on West 44th St., between Ninth and 10th avenues, were on a business trip and at work between 4 p.m. and 5:59 p.m. on March 3, they told police.

While they were gone, a suspect or suspects broke into their home and took a $1,300 Macbook Pro, $80 Chanel cologne, two Dove Men + Care body washes valued at $10 each, a pair of $200 Hugo Boss sunglasses, a $35 bottle of Jack Daniels and a Chase Sapphire credit card, the NYPD said.

The credit card was used for eight unauthorized transactions, according to police.

The value of the belongings and the transactions combined totaled $1,963, the NYPD said.

The thief or thieves may have entered through a window leading to a fire escape, as a vase that had been on a table near the window inside the apartment had been moved, police said.

Police also discovered two footprints on a chair under the windowsill.

The burglar or burglars left through the front door, police said.
