WASHINGTON HEIGHTS — A 57-year-old man was found fatally stabbed inside his Bennett Avenue apartment, and police are questioning his roommate, the NYPD said.
The victim was discovered inside his apartment at 213 Bennett Ave. at approximately 10 p.m. Wednesday, after police received a call from a man who said he'd killed someone at the location, the NYPD said.
The man, who was pronounced dead on scene, was stabbed multiple times and two knives were found inside the apartment, police said.
The victim's 25-year-old roommate was at the scene when police arrived and is being questioned, the NYPD said. Police could not say whether the caller and the roommate were the same person.
No charges had been filed as of Thursday afternoon, police said.
