FINANCIAL DISTRICT — A thief stole a UPS worker's $2,000 package scanner as he was making deliveries last week, police said.

The 36-year-old worker left his backpack and the scanner next to his truck, parked at 15 Cliff St., at about noon on March 1, and when he returned to the van, he realized they were gone.

The employee's $100 Sean Jean jacket was also swiped, police said.
