FORDHAM — A Dunkin' Donuts worker was slashed from her ear to her jaw with a razor by a man she was ejecting from the coffee shop Wednesday morning, police said.

The 35-year-old worker, whose name was not immediately released, and the suspect, Ronald Thompson, 31, got into an argument inside the shop at 2 E. Kingsbridge Road, near Jerome Avenue, about 5:45 a.m., an NYPD spokesman said.

"He was taking off his jacket. They told him to leave," said Luis Aguirre, 51, a customer who was in the shop at the time.

The spat escalated, but Thompson apparently left the donut shop and went around to a drive-thru window where he slashed the worker's face with a razor blade, the NYPD spokesman said.

"She was bleeding from her ear to her jaw. She was trying to hold it together with her hand. Her hand was full of blood," Aguirre said.

She was treated for a deep cut at North Central Bronx Hospital, where she's listed in stable condition, police said.

Thompson was arrested on assault and weapon charges, police said.

He's been arrested about 20 times on various charges including assault, selling drugs and criminal mischief, an NYPD spokesman said.

Thompson was most recently arrested for fare beating in November 2015, police said.

A spokeswoman for Dunkin' Donuts said the company was aware of the attack.

"The safety and well-being of franchisees' crew members and customers are a top priority," said Michelle King, the brand's senior director of global public relations. "The franchisee is cooperating fully with the local police investigating this incident.”
