MIDTOWN — There was no 7 line express service during the Tuesday evening commute because of a train with mechanical problems at Hunters Point Avenue, according to the MTA.
Riders were advised to take the E, F, M, N, Q or R trains for additional service between Manhattan and Queens.
E and M trains, though, were also running with delays.
MTA workers were also investigating reports of a “loud noise” at Hunters Point, an agency spokesman said.
