UPPER WEST SIDE — Police are searching for a man who stole a purse from a 69-year-old woman, the NYPD said.
The suspect approached the victim near West 84th St. and Amsterdam Avenue on Jan. 9 and grabbed her purse, which contained $100 cash and credit cards, police said. He then fled the scene.
The unidentified victim suffered bruises on her left wrist but was not hospitalized, police said.
The suspect was described as a man in his 20s and 5-foot-11, police said. He was wearing a blue coat with fur on the hood, a baseball hat, light-colored pants and sneakers.
