BEDFORD-STUYVESANT — A woman was arrested in connection with an A train assault that injured two people and was caught on video, police said.

Merci Chrisette, of Bedford-Stuyvesant, surrendered to police without incident Tuesday, according to officials.

Chrisette, 28, attacked two people aboard a southbound A train on Dec. 18 around 7 p.m. as the train was approaching Jay Street, police said.

She faces charges of assault, criminal possession of a weapon and reckless endangerment, officials said.

A video, which was recorded by another passenger, showed the suspect making a kissing face and smiling at the camera before a scuffle ensued with the victims.

“Do you want to see what happens when I get off this train? I’m gonna cut you,” the woman is seen saying on video posted by Gothamist, while she pulls a sharp object out of her red purse.

Police could not immediately confirm whether Chrisette was the same woman in the video.

She threatened to pepper spray the victims during the verbal dispute, a police source said, then displayed the sharp metal object.

After pointing it at a 48-year-old man’s face and exchanging words, she is seen lunging at the man while another rider tries to restrain her.

Another 28-year-old woman was also injured in the attack, according to the NYPD.

The object fell onto the train car floor and the woman continued to punch and hit the two victims, police sources added.

Both victims suffered small cuts to their face and head and refused medical attention after getting off at the Nostrand Avenue station.

A Facebook user named Chrissy Jackson, who identified herself to DNAinfo New York as the person in the video, posted an apology on Dec. 23 saying “there was more to this story that was not captured in the beginning” and that she is “not normally a violent person.”

The user added that she would “be doing the right thing very soon.”

Following the post, the Facebook user was in contact with the media and said she would turn herself in to police on Tuesday morning.

The account has since been deleted as of Tuesday afternoon.

Police sources said Chrisette, who is a transgender woman, goes by the nickname Isla.

She was previously arrested in April for assault, along with other charges, court records show.

Attorney information for Chrisette was not immediately available.
