BEDFORD-STUYVESANT — A 27-year-old man was fatally shot outside Bed-Stuy’s Louis Armstrong Houses early Sunday, according to police.

Alfred James was found with five gunshot wounds — four in the back and one on his side — in front of 317 Lexington Ave. just before 12:30 a.m., officials said.

James, who lived on Stagg Street in Williamsburg, was discovered lying on his back with his pants around his ankles and their pockets pulled inside out, an NYPD spokeswoman said.

Preliminary investigation suggested that robbery was a probable motive in his killing, she added.

Emergency responders transported James to Woodhull Hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said.

No arrests had been made as of Monday morning and the investigation is ongoing.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS (8477).
