MIDTOWN — A man targeting women withdrawing money from ATMs has taken more than $1,200 from five different victims, police said.

Since Nov. 15, the unidentified suspect has robbed women at knifepoint, put three in chokeholds, and punched one in the face at banks in Midtown and the Upper West Side, according to the NYPD.

Police released a photo of the 5-foot-7, 185-pound man late Wednesday and are asking anyone with information about him to come forward.

The first robbery happened inside the Bank of America at 835 Eighth Ave., near West 51st Street. He followed a 23-year-old woman, showed her a knife and took $300, police said.

On Nov. 20, he followed a 27-year-old woman into the same Bank of America, grabbed her by the neck and took $260. The following day he followed a 25-year-old into an Upper West Side Bank of America and held a knife up to her chin.

On Sunday, Nov. 22, the man attacked three more women, including one at the same 835 Eight Ave. Bank of America withdrawing money from the ATMs. One of the three, a 53-year-old was nearly put in a chokehold but was able to escape, police said.

The map below shows the ATMs the suspect struck.
