COBBLE HILL — After eight years in the neighborhood, Cobble Hill cafe Ted & Honey will close its doors at the end of the month.

The last day for the popular eatery beside Cobble Hill Park at Clinton Street and Verandah Place will be Nov. 29, a manager told DNAinfo on Monday morning.

To show their appreciation for longtime customers, Ted & Honey will be hosting a farewell party Monday, Nov. 23 from 5 to 7 p.m. "just to kind of say farewell in-person to our regulars," manager Billy Cevallos said.

Cevallos declined to elaborate on the owner's decision to close the quaint cafe.

Brother-sister duo Chris "Ted" Jackson and Michelle Mannix first opened Ted & Honey in 2008. It has since become a go-to cafe for locals in the neighborhood.

A 2010 New York Times profile called Ted & Honey "a Cobble Hill institution."

According to Eater, which first reported the closure, Jackson moved to Charleston more than a year ago and Mannix decided to close the Cobble Hill eatery to spend time with her family.

Ted & Honey, which serves breakfast, lunch, weekend brunch and seasonal dinner, announced its closure on Facebook last week: "We have enjoyed our time at T&H, and have had an awesome run. We are so grateful to our staff, customers, family and friends."
