QUEENS — An Astoria middle school had a perfect score for students passing the state's math exam last year, and scored second in the city on the English exam, according to data mapped out by DNAinfo.

One hundred percent of seventh graders at the Baccalaureate School for Global Education on 36th Avenue passed the state math exam — more than any other school in the city, stats show.

And 96 percent of students passed the English exam, the second highest in the city.

The school, which opened in 2002, follows the International Baccalaureate Program curriculum and has students from all over the borough, according to its website.

It's one of seven middle schools where at least 90 percent of students passed the state exams. The citywide average is 28 percent for English, and almost 33 percent for math.

It's one of three schools in Queens, all with selective admissions, that ranked in the top ten across the city in terms of state test scores — which are used in high school admissions.

Students at P.S. 122, also in Astoria, ranked third in the city on both the math and English exams — with 96 percent passing the English exam and 98 percent passing math, data shows.

Scholars' Academy in Rockaway Park saw a 92 percent pass rate on English and 92 percent on math, which put them in the top ten in the city for both.
