HUNTERS POINT — A new bowling alley may be on its way to the neighborhood if a developer looking to convert a local warehouse gets its way.

The owner of the property at 10-22 46th Ave., between Vernon Boulevard and 11th Street, wants to turn the one-story space into a bowling alley that would also serve food and drinks, according plans filed with the Department of Buildings two weeks ago.

The LIC Post first reported on the plans.

The DOB turned down the developer's application Wednesday because the plans were incomplete, according to a spokesman for the department. The plans will need to be corrected and resubmitted in order for the owner to move forward.

The owner of the building did not immediately return a call seeking comment Wednesday.

If the plans go through, the site would be the neighborhood's only bowling alley. The next closest one is in Astoria.
