LOWER EAST SIDE — A Broome Street bar will start serving cocktails for less than a buck, starting this week.

Louie and Chan, a 1920s-themed bar, will serve a 35-cent mixed drink every Tuesday from 7 to 8 p.m. as part of its new “Prohibition Happy Hour.”

Louie and Chan will kick off its drink special with a gin fizz, according to its owners, but will offer a different bargain-priced cocktail each week.

In keeping with its theme, the happy hour will be followed by “Chan’s Parlor,” a weekly partly that includes live music and burlesque.

“We decided to host Chan's Parlor each week ... because we want to whisk guests away to an era and a time when things were different,” said co-owner David Weisner in a statement.
