CHELSEA — A bike messenger threatened a security guard at Twitter's headquarters with a box cutter, according to police and witnesses.

"I'm gonna catch you outside, you're done," the messenger shouted holding a box cutter, at the service entrance of the company's New York City headquarters at 232 W. 18th St. on Oct. 16 at 2:30 p.m., according to police.

The messenger then fled on his bicycle and has not been apprehended, police said.

Workers at Twitter confirmed the incident had taken place but declined to comment further.

Twitter consolidated its four other Manhattan offices into one massive main office between 17th and 18th Streets earlier this year, according to reports.

The company did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
