13 Subway Lines Slated For Service Disruptions This Weekend, MTA Says

MIDTOWN — Thirteen subway lines are set for service disruptions this weekend as the MTA continues its work on tracks, stations and tunnels.

Here’s a breakdown by line:

(SKIP TO YOUR TRAIN LINE HERE: 1 Train; 2 Train; 3 Train; 4 Train; 6 Train; A Train; C Train; D Train; E Train; F Train; L Train; R Train; S Train)

1 Train: From 11:30 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, 1s will be suspended in both directions between 14th Street and South Ferry. The 2, 3, 4, 5, R and free shuttle buses will be available as alternatives. 2s and 3s will run local in both directions between Penn Station and Chambers Street. The shuttle buses will run between Chambers Street and South Ferry.

2 Train: From 11:30 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, 2s will run local in both directions between Chambers Street and Penn Station.

3 Train: Until later this month, 3s will skip Rockaway Avenue and Van Siclen Avenue in both directions. Free shuttle buses will be available.

For service to/from Rockaway Avenue, use shuttle buses to/from the Rockaway Avenue station. For service to/from Van Siclen Avenue, use shuttle buses to/from the Pennsylvania Avenue stop. Free transfers will be available with a MetroCard.

From 6:30 a.m. to midnight Saturday and Sunday, 3s will run local between Chambers Street and Penn Station.

4 Train: Until later this month, 4s will skip Rockaway Avenue and Van Siclen Avenue in both directions.

6 Train: From 3:45 a.m. Saturday to 10 p.m. Sunday, Manhattan-bound 6s will run express from Pelham Bay Park to Hunts Point Avenue.

From 7:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, 6s will run every 16 minutes between 3rd Avenue-138th Street and Pelham Bay Park. Some Pelham-bound 6s will terminate at 3rd Avenue-138th Street.

A Train: Until next winter, Far Rockaway-bound As will skip 80th Street.

For service to 80th Street, take the Far Rockaway or Lefferts Boulevard- bound A to 88th Street and transfer to a Brooklyn-bound A.

For service from 80th Street, take a Brooklyn-bound A to Grant Avenue and transfer.

Until next winter, Far Rock-bound As will also skip 111th Street.

For service to this stop, take a Lefferts-bound A and transfer to a Brooklyn-bound A.

For service from here, use the Q112 bus or take a Brooklyn-bound A to 104th Street and transfer to a Lefferts-bound A.

From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, As are rerouted via the F in both directions between West 4th Street and Jay Street-MetroTech. As will also run local between Columbus Circle and West 4th during this time.

From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 6:30 a.m. Sunday and from 11:45 p.m. Sunday to 5 a.m. Monday, Brooklyn-bound As will express from 125th Street to Columbus Circle.

C Train: From 6:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Brooklyn-bound Cs will run express from 125th Street to Columbus Circle.

D Train: From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, Bronx-bound Ds will run on the N line from Coney Island to 36th Street.

E Train: From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, Es will be rerouted via the F between Roosevelt Avenue and West 4th Street in both directions.

From 12:01 a.m. Saturday to 5 a.m. Monday, Es will run local in both directions in Queens.

F Train: Until later this fall, Queens-bound Fs will skip Ditmas Avenue.

For service to Ditmas Avenue, take a Jamaica-bound F to Church Avenue and transfer to a Coney Island-bound F.

For service from Ditmas Avenue, take an F an 18th Avenue and transfer back to a Jamaica-bound train.

Until next winter, Fs will skip Avenue X.

For service to this station, take a Queens-bound F to Avenue U and transfer to a Coney Island-bound F.

For service from this stop, take a Coney Island-bound F to Neptune Avenue and transfer to a Queens-bound train.

From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, Queensbound Fs will run express from Neptune Avenue to Smith-9th Streets.

From 12:01 a.m. Saturday to 5 a.m. Monday, Fs will run local in both directions in Queens.

L Train: Until next winter, Ls will skip Atlantic Avenue in both directions for station revamps.

From 11:30 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, Ls will be suspended in both directions between Canarsie and Myrtle-Wyckoff. Free shuttle buses will be available and will make all normal L train stops in between. The A, C and J lines will also be available.

R Train: From 6:30 a.m. to midnight Saturday and Sunday, Rs will be extended to Jamaica-179th Street.

S Train: From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, the Rockaway Park Shuttle will be suspended. Free shuttle buses will provide alternate service between Rockaway Park and Beach 67th Street and will make all stops in between.

From 6:30 a.m. to midnight Saturday and Sunday, the 42nd Street shuttle will be suspended. The 7 will be available, though.
