LONG ISLAND CITY — Want to burn off that beer gut without giving up the brews?

A group of beer makers in Long Island City is organizing a 4-mile run this month that will take participants on a guided tour of the neighborhood's breweries, letting them stop for samples along the way.

The "Ale I See" run will take place Oct. 25 and will start and finish at Rockaway Brewing Company. Stops in between at three other local breweries include Big Alice Brewing, LIC Beer Project and Transmitter Brewing

Runners will learn about the breweries and get small tastes of beers from each, according to organizers.

The run — hosted in part by tour group City Running Tours — will also include stops at local historic and cultural landmarks like MoMA PS1, Silvercup Studios and the East River waterfront.

Tickets to the event are $50, and include a free T-shirt and a complimentary pint of beer at Rockaway Brewing at the end of the run. A portion of each ticket sale will go to support youth and environmental programs at local nonprofit Recycle-a-Bicycle.

Space is limited; reserve a spot here.
