Where to Watch the Rugby World Cup Finals in NYC

MANHATTAN — After more than a month of play, the final match is set for the Rugby World Cup. New Zealand and Australia face off on Sunday, with South Africa and Argentina playing for bronze on Friday.

Here's a handful of bars where you can watch all the action.

Manhattan

The Australian, 20 W. 38th St., Midtown, (212) 869-8601

Doors will open at 10 a.m. Saturday for the finals, and watchers are advised to get there early as the bar gets packed. There is no cover charge, and matches will be shown on 22 screens.  

The Liberty, 29 W. 35th St., Midtown, 212) 967-4000

The Australian's sister bar, The Liberty, will also be showing the final. The restaurant has eight screens upstairs and six screens downstairs. Reservations are still available by calling (212) 967-4000.

Stout, 133 W. 33rd St., Midtown, (212) 629-6191 

Stout will be showing both Friday and Saturday's matches with no cover. The bar offers about 50 screens in the bar. If you arrive early enough to snag a table you can request the match be shown on a flat screen near where you are sitting. 

Dorian Gray Tap and Grill, 205 E. 4th St., East Village, (212) 979-0900

This bar and restaurant has shown every Rugby World Cup match on its five large flat screens. On the weekends, it offers a brunch special with two free drinks for $15. 

The bartender recommends you get there early as the crowds sometimes spill out onto the street for the World Cup matches. 

The Red Lion, 151 Bleeker St., Little Italy, (212) 260-9797

Matches are being shown on three projectors and four flat screens. There are no drink specials planned for the matches as of Monday afternoon.

Brooklyn

Kent Ale House, 51 Kent Ave., Williamsburg, (347) 227-8624

The games will be shown on 14 screens at the Kent Ale House, including a 92 inch-flat screen in the back room. The bar will make a traditional Irish breakfast for the New Zealand v. Australia final on Saturday morning.  

The bar staff at the Kent Ale House said that the bar has been packed for all matches. They recommend fans get there early. Doors will open at 9:30 a.m. Saturday.

Here's the schedule for the final matches of the tournament:

►Friday, Oct. 30

Bronze Medal Match, South Africa v. Argentina, 3 p.m.

►Saturday, Oct. 31

Final, New Zealand v. Australia, 11 a.m.
