16 Subway Lines Slated for Service Changes This Weekend

MIDTOWN — Here is the breakdown of this weekend's subway service changes by line:

1 Line: Service will suspended in both directions between 14th Street and South Ferry from 11:30 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday.

2 and 3 trains will run local between 34th Street and Chambers Street.

2 Line: Trains will run local from 11:30 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday and the 3 Line will from 6:30 a.m. to midnight Saturday and Sunday.

Trains will skip Rockaway Avenue and Van Siclen Avenue in both directions until late October.

Free shuttle bus service will be provided.

4 Line: Downtown trains will run local from 125th Street to Grand Central-42nd Street from 12:01 a.m. Saturday to 5 a.m. Monday.

Uptown trains will run local from Crown Heights-Utica Avenue to Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center from 12:01 a.m. Saturday to 5 a.m. Monday.

Trains will skip Rockaway Avenue and Van Siclen Avenue in both directions until late October.

5 Line: Downtown trains will run local from 125th Street to Grand Central from 6 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. Saturday and from 8 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. Sunday. Trains will also run every 20 minutes.

Service will be suspended in both directions between East 180th Street and Eastchester-Dyre Avenue from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday. Free shuttle bus service will be provided.

6 Line: Trains will run every 16 minutes between 3rd Avenue-138th Street and Pelham Bay Park from 7:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday.

A Line: Service will be rerouted over the F line in both directions from West 4th Street to Jay Street-MetroTech from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday.

Trains will run local in both directions between West 4th Street and 59th Street-Columbus Circle from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday.

Downtown trains will run express from 125th Street to 59th Street from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 6:30 a.m. Sunday and from 11:45 p.m. Sunday to 5 a.m. Monday.

Lefferts Boulevard-bound trains will skip 104th Street in Queens from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday.

Far Rockaway-Lefferts Boulevard-bound A trains will skip 80th Street at all times until winter 2016.

To get to this station, you can take a Far Rockaway or Lefferts Boulevard-bound A train to 88th Street and transfer to a Brooklyn-bound A train.

For service from this station, take a Brooklyn-bound A train to Grant Avenue and transfer to a Far Rockaway or Lefferts Boulevard-bound A train.

Far Rockaway-Lefferts Boulevard-bound A trains will also skip 111th Street at all times until winter 2016.

For service to this station, take a Lefferts Boulevard-bound A train to Lefferts Boulevard where you can transfer to a Brooklyn-bound A train.

To travel from this station, hop on the Q112 bus or take a Brooklyn-bound A train to 104th Street and transfer to a Lefferts Boulevard-bound A train.

C Line: Trains will be rerouted over the F line in both directions between West 4th Street and Jay Street-MetroTech from 6:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Downtown trains will run express from 125th Street to 59th Street from 6:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

E Line: Trains will be rerouted over the F line in both directions between West 4th Street and Roosevelt Avenue from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday. Free shuttle buses will run between Court Square and 21st-Queensbridge.

Trains will run local in both directions in Queens from 12:01 a.m. Saturday to 5 a.m. Monday.

D Line: Manhattan-bound trains will run express from 36th Street in Brooklyn to Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 6:30 a.m. Sunday from 11:45 p.m. Sunday to 5 a.m. Monday.

Manhattan-bound trains will be rerouted over the N line from Coney Island-Stillwell Avenue to 36th Street from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday.

F Line: Trains will run local in both directions in Queens from 12:01 a.m. Saturday to 5 a.m. Monday.

Service will be suspended in both directions between Coney Island-Stillwell Avenue and Kings Highway from 11:30 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday. Free shuttle bus service will be provided.

Queens-bound F trains will skip Ditmas Avenue in Brooklyn at all times until fall 2015.

To take the train to this station, take a Queens-bound F train to Church Avenue and transfer to a Coney Island-Stillwell Avenue-bound F train. 

For service from this station, take a Coney Island-bound F train to 18th Avenue and transfer to a Queens-bound F train. 

Additionally, Queens-bound F trains will skip Avenue X at all times until winter 2015. 

For service to this station, take a Queens-bound F train to Avenue U and transfer to a Coney Island-Stillwell Avenue-bound F train.

For service from this station, take a Coney Island-Stillwell Avenue-bound F train to Neptune Avenue and transfer to a Queens-bound F train.

L Line: Service will be suspended in both directions between Canarsie and Myrtle-Wyckoff Avenues from 11:30 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday. Free shuttle bus service will be provided.

N Line: Queens-bound trains will run express from 59th Street in Brooklyn to Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 6:30 a.m. Sunday and form 11:45 p.m. Sunday to 5 a.m. Monday.

R Line: Service will be extended to the Jamaica-179th Street F station from 6:30 a.m. to midnight Saturday and Sunday.

Manhattan-bound trains will run express from 59th Street in Brooklyn to Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center from 6:30 a.m. to Midnight Saturday and Sunday.

Service will be suspended in both directions between 59th Street and 36th Street in Brooklyn.

42nd Street Shuttle: Service will be suspended from 6:30 a.m. to midnight Saturday and Sunday. Riders can take a 7 train instead.

Rockaway Park Shuttle: Service will be suspended from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday. Free shuttle buses will be provided from the Beach 67th Street A station.
