YORKVILLE — A pair of small tasting rooms exclusively serving beer, wine, cheese and chocolates are headed to the neighborhood.

The new eateries, which are expected to open early next year, will be called Room 321 and Room 1705 after their respective addresses — 321 E. 75th St. and 1705 First Ave. — according to Hakan Aktas of AK Hospitality Group, which owns the restaurants.

Their limited menus feature wine and beer, as well as edibles to pair with them. They will also host special tasting events, featuring products from different parts of the world, including truffles from Europe.

Room 321 and Room 1705 — which are located just 13 blocks apart — are small at 330 to 400 square feet, respectively. Room 1705 will have room for roughly 25 people, including a basement level that will offer more communal seating.

Room 321 will be open from 11 to 1 a.m. on Thursday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to midnight Sunday through Wednesday, Aktas said.

Room 1705 will open at 4 p.m. each day and will close at 1 a.m., except for on Fridays and Saturdays, when it will close at 2 a.m., he said.

Community Board 8 will take a vote on the group's bid for a beer and wine license for each location on Oct. 21, but it will be up to the State Liquor Authority to grant final approval.
