Saturday, October 10
3rd Annual Pueblo Harlem
Where? Harlem School of the Arts, 645 St. Nicholas Ave., Harlem
When? 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
How Much? Free
This all day festival celebrates Hispanic heritage and the diversity of Harlem. Enjoy performances by the Afro Latin Jazz Alliance’s youth orchestra, the Fat Afro Latin Jazz Cats and the GRIOT Youth Ensemble. Take folkloric dance classes and see visual arts demonstrations. Brazilian rhythms workshops and dance classes are also available. 

Star Wars Reads Day
Where? Barnes & Noble bookstores throughout the city, including Court Street in Downtown Brooklyn, Union Square, Warren St. in Tribeca, East 54th St. in Midtown, 86th and Lexington Ave on the Upper East Side; 82nd and Broadway on the Upper West Side and Bay Plaza in the Bronx. 
When? Various times throughout the day.
How Much? Free
Star Wars Reads Day is held annually to encourage childhood literacy. In Barnes & Noble stores across New York City you can sign up for a Star Wars themed LEGO Build and in the Union Square store, turn up in Star wars costume for giveaways. At 6th & Lexington Ave they're taking a page from the LEGO Star Wars Character Encyclopedia, and making a LEGO Star Wars Millennium Falcon. 

Vietnamese Moon Festival 
Where? Thomas Paine Park (near City Hall), Civic Center
When? 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
How Much? Free
Make paper lanterns and balloon sculptures, play traditional Vietnamese games and indulge in yummy moon cakes and Vietnamese snacks. Presented by the Vietnam Heritage Center.

It’s a Bird! It’s a Plane! Superheroes in Gotham Opening Weekend
Where? New-York Historical Society, 170 Central Park West at Richard Gilder Way (77th Street), Upper West Side
When? Saturday & Sunday 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.
How Much? Kids age 13 and under receive free admission. Adults $20. 
Celebrate the opening of ”It’s a Bird! It’s a Plane! Superheroes in Gotham,” a brand new exhibition at the New-York Historical Society, by designing your own super-powered wrist cuffs, joining a superhero training session or decorating a super plane and flying it through the New York skyline.

New York Hall of Science
Where? 47-01 111th St., Corona
When? Open 7 days per week. 
How Much? Free every Sunday from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
New York Hall of Science presents 450 exhibits, demonstrations, workshops and activities that explain science, technology, engineering, and math. Current exhibitions include Robots 3D, which ponders what it would take to make a humanoid robot, Living in the Age of Airplanes, an immersive film experience showing how aviation has changed our world and Connected World, a fantastical animated world that illustrates where your actions — gestures, movements, and decisions — impact how well the world is kept in balance.

Frida’s Fall Harvest

When? Tuesdays to Fridays; 1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
How Much? Included with All-Garden Pass admission - adults $20, children (2–12) $8
As a part of FRIDA KAHLO: Art, Garden, Life, get into hands-on activities and harvest-themed displays in the Adventure Garden. Play in in Frida’s Puppet Theater and the La Casita Azul playhouse kitchen, hunt for butterflies (including Monarchs migrating south to Mexico) and grind dried corn using a traditional Mexican metate.
