MIDTOWN — The city is set to get soaked over the next few days with rain and cloud so heavy the sun might not be seen again until next week, a forecaster said.

Up to three inches of rain is expected to fall Tuesday evening into Wednesday night as wind gusts reach 25 miles per hour, the National Weather Service said.

It will continue to fall on and off through Sunday night.

“It’s going to be quite cloudy for the next few days,” National Weather Service spokeswoman Carlie Buccola said.

The Thursday high is expected to reach just 59 degrees, while Friday’s peaks at 62 degrees.

The sun should finally emerge again on Monday.
