PROSPECT HEIGHTS — Back-to-school at P.S. 9 will put some real bounce in your step.
At an all-day carnival this Saturday, the Prospect Heights elementary school will set up seven commercial-grade bouncy castles for kids — one set up for toddlers only — at its annual start-of-the-school-year fundraiser, organizers said.
The “Bounce Back to School” event will take place from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sept. 26 at the Underhill Avenue school, according to hosts from the P.S. 9 PTO. In addition to the bouncy castles, the event will feature face-painting, carnival games, a raffle, an outdoor dance party with a DJ and snacks like lemonade, popcorn and barbeque.
An “all-day bounce bracelet” for $35 will get unlimited access to all of the bounce houses, they said. Entry fees cost $5 for adults and $2 for children, which gets the holder one free bounce; extra bounce tickets cost $2 each.
All of the proceeds from the day will go to the school, the PTO said.
The event will take place at 80 Underhill Ave. For more information, email bouncebackps9@gmail.com.
