LOWER EAST SIDE — Trendy restaurants Mission Chinese, Fung Tu and Fat Radish are joining more than a dozen other local businesses for the first-ever South Orchard Block Party on Sunday.

“It’s just a celebration of retailers and the restaurants on lower Orchard Street,” said Katie Archer, the director of programs and services for the Lower East Side Business Improvement District.

In addition to food from neighborhood eateries, event highlights include a free hour-long yoga class hosted by Sky Ting Yoga, a new studio located on Chrystie Street, and a morning run organized by the Orchard Street Runners.

The event will also include a bocce ball tournament — which participants can sign up for now at Lost Weekend NYC, located at 45 Orchard St. — live music and chalk art, Archer said.

Admission is free, according to the LES BID.

The South Orchard Block Party will take place from 1 to 6 p.m. — except for the run, which will meet up at 10 a.m. — on Sept. 27 on Orchard Street between Hester and Canal streets. Visit the LES BID’s website for more information.
