VIDEO: A BMX Cyclist's Wild City Ride As Seen From His Perspective

By Kyle Ligman | September 15, 2015 3:26pm

Pro BMX athlete Nigel Sylvester shows off what it's like to use your bicycle like a katana, swinging it inches from pedestrians for kicks.

Last week, Sylvester released a point-of-view video of a wild ride through the city on his bike. He shows off his ability to weave through traffic going the wrong way, plow through Times Square crowds and stare at his phone while speeding along on the Brooklyn Bridge.

According to Sylvester's website, he grew up in Queens and learned his skills on the streets.

“It’s an awesome feeling riding fast through downtown New York — not even doing that many tricks, just bobbing and weaving through traffic, jumping curbs, garbage cans and whatever else you might see,” Sylvester writes on his site.
