► Richmond County Fair

Where: Historic Richmond Town, 441 Clarke Ave., Richmond Town

The annual Richmond County Fair returns to Historic Richmond Town on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The fair features rides, three stages of entertainment, a hot dog eating contest, model car racing, a petting zoo and more. Tickets are $16, $11 for seniors 65 and older, with children under 30 inches admitted for free.

Friday, Sept. 4

"Prezidential" Art Installation Reception

Where: Richmond Hood Company, 827 Castleton Ave., West Brighton

The Richmond Hood Company will host a free opening reception to their new solo exhibit "Prezidential" featuring work by graffiti artist Cody "Prez." The reception starts at 6 p.m.

► Movies in the Park "Finding Nemo"

Where: Seaside Wildlife Nature Park, Nelson Avenue, Great Kills

The annual Movies in the Park series of screenings in September kicks off on Friday with "Finding Nemo." Free rides and concessions will start at 6 p.m. in the park, with the movie expected to start at dusk. Organizers ask people to bring non-perishable food items to be donated.

Saturday, Sept. 5

"From the Earth to the Pedestal" Opening Reception

Where: Wagner College, 1 Campus Road, Grymes Hill

Staten Island sculptor Marc Zimetbaum will show work by him and his students at his weekly open sculptor classes in a new exhibit at Wagner College called "From the Earth to the Pedestal." Artists from the class will display sculptures of the human body, 12 to 24 inches tall, at the exhibit. The free opening reception will be from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Wagner College Gallery and the exhibit will run until Sept. 27.

 "The British are Coming" Concert by the Staten Island Philharmonic Winds

Where: Noble Maritime Collection at Snug Harbor, 1000 Richmond Terrace, Livingston

The Staten Island Philharmonic Winds will host a free concert of British artists and composers in front of the Noble Maritime Collection in Snug Harbor at 5 p.m. where they will play songs by "The Beatles," "Queen," Edward Elgar and more. Visitors are asked to bring their own chairs.
