VIDEO: 8 Teens Swipe $4,400 of Clothes from Soccer Shop, NYPD Says

BROOKLYN — Eight teenagers walked into a Boerum Hill soccer gear store and calmly took $4,400 worth of items off the racks before bolting without paying, police said.

The group paired off and staggered their entrances into the Upper 90 shop at 359 Atlantic Ave., near Hoyt Street, about 11:47 a.m. Aug. 10 before drifting to different areas inside to grab items off the racks, video released by the NYPD shows. 

Some in the group of five boys and three girls tried to discreetly stuff clothes into backpacks, then all at once they ran from the store, video shows.

One boy wore a white T-shirt, tan jeans with black and white sneakers while carrying a black backpack.

Another had a red T-shirt, dark pants and black sneakers.

Another boy had a black T-shirt, a black bucket hat with images of white marijuana leaves printed on it, black pants with a white line down the leg and black and white sneakers.

Two of the girls had colored hair — red and blue respectively.

The other girl had a blue long-sleeved shirt and jeans.

One boy had a white T-shirt with black pants.

And another wore white pants, white sneakers with a black and white T-shirt.

Upper 90, which has other locations in the city, did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
