SOUTH WILLIAMSBURG — A pair of suspects who asked a man for the time ended up putting him in a chokehold and stealing his pricey Rolex watch last week, police said.

The victim, 34, was standing outside Rodney Park near 283 Rodney St. on Friday, Aug. 28, at about 3:30 a.m. when two men approached him and asked for the time, police said.

When the victim checked his watch, one of the suspects went behind him and put him in a chokehold, police said. The other man then demanded the victim's $11,500 Rolex, police said.

No on was arrested for the incident, and police are investigating.
