FINANCIAL DISTRICT — A woman's $2,000 gold and diamond chain was torn from her neck as she rode the 2 train on Sunday, police said.

A young man ripped the necklace off the 57-year-old Brooklyn woman as the train pulled into the Wall Street Station, police said.

She told authorities that as the train doors opened at about 9 a.m., a young thief, who appeared to be a teen, yanked the jewelry from her neck, then ran off the subway, according to a police report.

Police were still investigating the incident.
