For the New Yorkers who want to take advantage of this spate of warm weather, the Department of Consumer Affairs offers an interactive map of New York City's sidewalk cafes.

Once you've found a place to try, call in advance to be sure they've set up their outdoor seating for the season.

By scrolling the map or entering an address, users can find out not only where sidewalk cafes are located, but also how many outdoor tables and seats they offer.

The site also offers information on sidewalk cafe licenses and when they expire, as well as the status of sidewalk cafe applications.

“Before ... only a list of licensed cafes was available on our website and that just didn’t seem like enough. So, in an effort to increase transparency and ease the application process, we’ve made much more available on an easy-to-use map,” Consumer Affairs Commissioner Julie Menin said in a statement when the site was launched in August.
