MANHATTAN — A woman prisoner in police custody escaped after being taken to the hospital for medical treatment, NYPD officials said.

Tiffany Neumann, 23, was arrested Saturday after leaving an Upper West Side restaurant without paying for her meal, an NYPD spokesman said. He didn't provide further details.

She was in police custody and being treated at Lower Manhattan Hospital, at 83 Gold St., but fled about 9:10 p.m. Sunday, police said.

She is about 5-foot-3 and 120 pounds, police said.

Neumann joins a string of other prisoners who have managed to slip free from police this summer.

Three men escaped the NYPD in three different Harlem precincts since June.

Tareek Arnold was being walked to a police vehicle when he shoved an officer to the ground and took off running on June 23. He was arrested again about a month later.

Arthur Collins escaped his holding cell on July 24 in the 25th Precinct stationhouse. He turned himself in three days later.

And Austin Stevenson was being led into the 23rd Precinct stationhouse when he shoved an officer and fled on Aug. 16. He was arrested three days later.

Anyone with information should contact Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS (8477).
