EAST HARLEM — A woman attacked an 85-year-old man in the lobby of his apartment building, went through his pockets and stole $40, according to the NYPD.

Trinidad Garcia, 32, approached the victim at 2276 Second Ave. roughly 10 a.m. on Saturday and asked him question, before punching the elderly man in the face and throwing him to the ground, according to the criminal complaint.

She then stole his cash, police said. She was arrested a few hours after the attack, records show.

The victim ended up with a bloody nose and scratch marks along his back, according to the criminal complaint.

Garcia was charged with assault and robbery. He's being held at Rikers Island on a $10,000 bond and is due in court Friday, records show.

"I don't know anything about this case, other than what is in the court papers," her attorney, Scott Fenstermaker, said in an email.

The prosecutors have not yet shared all of the information, he added.
