MIDTOWN EAST — An out-of-control car jumped a curb at E. 49th Street and Second Avenue Monday afternoon and pinned a pedestrian against a light post, witnesses and the FDNY said.

The woman was on the corner at 4:24 p.m. when the car crashed into her, ripping her clothes from her body, wedging her between the car and the pole, witnesses and officials said.

"All you [could] see was her flesh," said Chris Salamone, 30, who works in a building near the site of the collision. "She was almost naked. It's horrible."

Moments after the crash, doctors from an emergency clinic Medrite Urgent Care nearby ran to the scene and covered the woman with blankets, Salamone said.

An ambulance arrived minutes later and took the woman to Bellevue Hospital where she was listed in serious condition, the witness and the FDNY said.

The NYPD is investigating the accident.
