EAST HARLEM — A disabled man riding his electric scooter near Park Avenue was beaten up by two men who stole his ride, police said.

The 51-year-old man from Mount Vernon was on his $3,500 Pride Victory scooter near the corner of 128th Street and Park Avenue about 5 a.m. August 3, according to the NYPD.

One man punched him in the face and another pushed him to the ground. Then one of the men fled on the scooter and the other fled on foot, police said. The scooter's top speed is 5.25 mph, according to the brand's website.

The victim, who cannot move around without his scooter because of a back injury, was taken to Mount Sinai St. Luke's Hospital in Morningside Heights.
